Rescue Runners

Rescue Runners is a program that encourages NOLA's running community and Jefferson SPCA's four-legged friends living in shelters to help each get exercise.

Jefferson SPCA has teamed up with Synergistic Lifestyles LLC to create Rescue Runners, an extra-rewarding program to encourage runners to run with shelter dogs. Shelter dogs have it ruff and some need more exercise than the shelter staff and volunteers can give them. Rescue Runners gives shelter dogs an opportunity outside of the shelter facility to burn off extra energy.
