Volunteer with the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter!
Volunteering is a great way for anyone to support the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter, and even meet the pet of your dreams! There are lots of ways to help, from walking dogs, cuddling cats, to office work or transporting pets.
If you are 11-15 years old, you must be accompanied by a parent/guardian while at the shelter. Your parent/guardian must also complete volunteer training.
The JPAS volunteer program does not give credit for court ordered community service hours. If this is what you need, please call the shelter for information.
