Teen Programs & Service Learning
Teens can make a PAW-sitive difference in the lives of homeless animals and the Jefferson Protective & Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS) wants to invite you to join our mission.
We offer various fun ways for teens to earn Service Learning Hours for school.
Service Hours
If you are 16+ and need service hours for school, and want to volunteer at Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS) to earn your hours, please email JPAWS at JPAnimalShelter@jeffparish.net with the following information: your name, age, school attending, amount of hours you need to earn. PLEASE NOTE: Those under the age of 16 will need a parent/guardian with them at all times while volunteering. You can also fill out a volunteer application here on JPAWS' website.
JPAWS is located at 2701 LaPalco Blvd., Harvey, LA 70058
Earn Service Hours with a Donation Drive
If you are unable to volunteer in person and need service hours for school, consider doing a Donation Drive! You can call your friends and family and ask them to donate to your drive and gather supplies that we use daily to care for our animals waiting to be adopted.
You can download the packet here.
