Seniors, and Active Military

 

Spay and Neuter is free for pets of Jefferson Parish residents who meet one of the following criteria:

• Over 65 years of age

• Active military (residing in Jefferson Parish)

• Owner of a pit bull or pit bull mix
   

 

How to Get a No Co-Pay Voucher

To cover the co-pay, you will need a voucher, which can be sent to the clinic or picked up in person at:

Send a copy/picture of your driver’s license (or utility bill or lease), your address, your pet’s name, the clinic you chose, and your appointment date to Rachel@jeffersonspca.org. We will email you a voucher to bring to your appointment or email it to the participating clinic.

Important:

• Vouchers are valid for 60 days only. Please request one only when your appointment is within 2 months.

• Scheduling your appointment: Before requesting a voucher, visit the Fix-A-Canine, Fix-A-Feline, or Fix-A-Rabbit program pages to find participating veterinary clinics and schedule your appointment. Once your appointment is confirmed, email us for a voucher.

• If you are in a difficult situation and need help getting your pet fixed, please email us — we will do our best to help.

• To prevent supporting breeders, if you have a litter of puppies or kittens and their parents, all parents and offspring must be spayed/neutered to be eligible for voucher assistance.
