Fix-A-Rabbit/Guinea Pig Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program

 

Fix-A-Rabbit/Guinea Pig is a Spay/Neuter Program funded by Jefferson Parish Annual Rabies Licenses. The ultimate goal is to reduce the number of rabbits that enter our two Jefferson Parish Animal Shelters. In 2010, 12,636 animals entered our shelters. Since inception our Spay/Neuter program, we have performed over 100,000 surgeries on pets in Jefferson Parish. Join the many residents that chose the healthier option and spay or neuter your pet rabbit or male guinea pig. Male rabbit/guinea pig co-payment is $40 and female rabbit is $60. (Female Guinea Pigs are not on the program as it's a more complex surgery.)

To participate in the Fix-A-Rabbit/Guinea Pig program, you must be a resident of Jefferson Parish (a form of I.D. is required) or a caretaker in Jefferson Parish. Contact the clinic below and make an appointment mentioning the Fix-A-Rabbit/Guinea Pig Program.
