Chipotle Mexican Grill "Dine Out" Day donates 50% to Jefferson SPCA
Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants in Jefferson Parish are hosting a fundraiser on Thursday July 20th in the midst of the high shelter intake during the summer months. Both Elmwood Shopping Center and 3600 Veterans Memorial Blvd locations are participating to fundraise from open-to-close 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Participants need only to tell their cashier that they’re dining for cause that day.
“We are blown away by the charitable nature of Chipotle for being a part of the solution to homeless pets” says Jefferson SPCA President Lynn Morvant.
Funds raised during this event will help support Jefferson SPCA’s life-saving heartworm treatment program. With an increase of intake at the shelter comes an intake of dogs that are currently infected with heartworm disease. Jefferson SPCA’s program to treat these dogs has saved hundreds of dogs that would have otherwise would have been euthanized.
